Energy Saving Analysis
Energy saving is generally defined as the difference in energy consumption measured before and after the implementation of an energy efficiency retrofit.
It is calculated as follows: Energy saving = Energy consumption at baseline period - Energy consumption after retrofit ± adjustment(this feature is coming soon)
You can use it to:
- Customize your own dashboard.
- View energy saving by Historical Data/Target Consumption/Weather Adjusted Baseline Usage
Term | Description |
---|---|
Historical Usage | Displaying the historical consumption data of the currently selected energy type.Enabling energy savings analytics for historical baselines based off sub-meter and main-meter data. In this way, you can track equipment or location specific energy efficiency projects. |
Target Usage | You can set your target consumption data of every month. Akila will collect its real usage data. In this way, you can make a comparison between them. |
Baseline Period | The reference period for energy-saving projects to be compared. It is necessary to define the energy usage for a period of time. This part is used as the benchmark for future energy-saving calculations. |
Reporting Period | The period during which the energy-saving project operates, and the energy-saving efficiency during this period needs to be calculated. |
Add Dashboard (By Historical Usage)
- Click "+Add" and add "Dashboard" on the page
- Input dashboard name
- Input dashboard description
Note: You can optionally fill in the field. It is just a note for your dashboard. You can add description about the dashboard. - Select Historical Usage as the Baseline Type
- Select "Baseline Period" and "Reporting Period"
- Select "Object"
Note: The available selection options in this section are identical to those on the energy monitoring page, with the exception of portfolio monitoring groups which are not included. - Click Save
Add Dashboard (By Target Consumption)
- Click "+Add" and add "Target" on the page. Input the target.
Note: You are required to specify the year and energy type. If the "Annual Target" has been set, the system will automatically distribute this value evenly across all months, eliminating the need to enter data for each month individually. However, if the target values vary by month, you can manually enter the target values for each month as needed. - Click "+Add" and add "Dashboard"
- Input dashboard name
- Input dashboard description
Note: You can optionally fill in the filed. It is just a note for your dashboard. You can add description about the dashboard. - Select Target Consumption as Baseline Type
- Select Date Range
- Select "Object"
Note: The available selection options in this section only has energy usage type. - Click Save
Add Dashboard (By Weather Adjusted Usage)
- Click "+Add" and add "Dashboard" on the page
- Input dashboard name
- Input dashboard description
Note: You can optionally fill in the field. It is just a note for your dashboard. You can add description about the dashboard. - Select Weather Adjusted Usage as the Baseline Type
- Select Baseline Period and Reporting Period
Note: When the baseline period is left empty, the AI will utilize all historical data prior to the reporting period uniformly during the training process. If you select a baseline period, AI will assign more weight to this period compared to the rest of historical data before the reporting period during the training stage. Please note that the historical data before the reporting period must be at least 90 days, and reporting period should be no longer than 1 year. - Select "Object"
Note: The available selection options in this section are identical to those on the energy monitoring page, with the exception of portfolio monitoring groups which are not included. - Click Save.
